Cost Per Wear Calculator

Understanding the true value of your clothing helps you make more sustainable purchasing decisions. A lower cost per wear means better value and often indicates a more sustainable choice.

Formula: CPW = (Purchase price + Alterations + Care costs + Delivery – Resale value) ÷ Estimated total wears

Tip: Include one-off costs (tailoring) and ongoing costs (dry cleaning). If you plan to resell, subtract the expected resale value. Use realistic wear estimates (see guide below).
